Shade Community Club

Outreach at Shade isn’t just about serving those in immediate need—it’s also about shaping the future. One of the most powerful ways we do this is by engaging the next generation through Shade Community Club.

At first glance, local youth growing vegetables on our campus might not seem directly connected to our mission of sharing the love of Jesus and advocating for people with albinism. But this initiative is a key part of our outreach strategy.

Lasting change for people with albinism in Tanzania will come when communities understand and reject discrimination. By engaging young people in meaningful activities—like tending a garden, learning together, and building relationships—Shade Community Club fosters awareness, empathy, and leadership. These students become ambassadors of change, carrying their understanding back to their families and villages, multiplying the impact, and planting the seeds for a future where all people are valued.
